Felix Zulauf

Founder & Ceo, Zulauf Consulting

Felix Zulauf is the Founder and CEO of Zulauf Consulting, a boutique research and consulting firm that offers investment advisory services to institutional investors and family offices. Felix has over 40 years of experience in financial markets and asset management and has served as a member of the Barron’s Roundtable for 30 years. He started as a trader with Swiss Bank Corporation in the early 1970’s and received training in research and portfolio management thereafter with several investment banks in New York, Zurich, and Paris. Mr. Zulauf joined UBS in 1977 as a Portfolio Manager of global mutual funds and became Global Strategist of UBS in 1982 and the head of the institutional portfolio management group in 1986. Felix served as a member of the Executive Board of Clariden Bank from 1988-1990 and founded Zulauf Asset Management AG in 1990, a Swiss-based asset management company. Mr. Zulauf sold the majority of the firm and spun off a Family Office in 2009.

Marc Faber

Dr. Marc Faber was born in Zurich, Switzerland. He went to school in Geneva and Zurich and finished high school with the Matura. He studied Economics at the University of Zurich and, at the age of 24, obtained a PhD in Economics magna cum laude. Between 1970 and 1978, Dr. Faber worked for White Weld & Company Limited in New York, Zurich and Hong Kong. Since 1973, he has lived in Hong Kong. From 1978 to February 1990, he was the Managing Director of Drexel Burnham Lambert (HK) Ltd. In June 1990, he set up his own business, Marc Faber Limited, which acts as an investment advisor, fund manager and broker/dealer. Dr. Faber publishes a widely read monthly investment newsletter “The Gloom, Boom & Doom Report” which highlights unusual investment opportunities, and is the author of several books including “Tomorrow’s GOLD – Asia’s Age of Discovery”, which was first published in 2002 and highlights future investment opportunities around the world. “Tomorrow’s Gold” was for several weeks on Amazon’s best seller list and has been translated into Japanese, Korean, Thai and German. Dr. Faber is also a regular contributor to several leading financial publications around the world. A book on Dr Faber, “Riding the Millenial Storm”, by Nury Vittachi, was published in 1998. A regular speaker at various investment seminars, Dr. Faber is well known for his “contrarian” investment approach. He is also associated with a variety of funds.

Dr. Thomas S. Kaplan

Dr. Thomas Kaplan is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Electrum Group, a privately held global natural resources investment management company that manages the portfolio of Electrum. He is also NOVAGOLD’s Chairman of the Board and the company’s single largest shareholder.
