John Hathaway
Senior Portfolio Manager, Sprott Asset Management
John Hathaway is a Portfolio Manager of Sprott Hathaway Special Situations Strategy and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Sprott Gold Equity Fund. Previously, Mr. Hathaway joined Tocqueville Asset Management L.P. in 1997 where he was a Co-Portfolio Manager of the Tocqueville Gold Fund as well as other investment vehicles in the Tocqueville Gold Equity Strategy. He was also the Portfolio Manager of private funds. Prior to joining Tocqueville, Mr. Hathaway co-founded and managed Hudson Capital Advisors followed by seven years with Oak Hall Advisors as the Chief Investment Officer in 1986. In 1976, he joined the investment advisory firm David J. Greene and Company, where he became a Partner. Mr. Hathaway began his career in 1970 as an Equity Analyst with Spencer Trask & Co. Mr. Hathaway earned a B.A. from Harvard College and an MBA from the University of Virginia. Mr. Hathaway was also the Chairman of Tocqueville Management Corporation, the General Partner of Tocqueville. He also holds the CFA® designation.
Ronald-Peter Stoferle

Ronnie is managing partner of Incrementum AG and responsible for Research and Portfolio Management.
He studied business administration and finance in the USA and at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, and also gained work experience at the trading desk of a bank during his studies. Upon graduation he joined the research department of Erste Group, where in 2007 he published his first In Gold We Trust report. Over the years, the In Gold We Trust report has proceeded to become one of the benchmark publications on gold, money, and inflation.
Since 2013 he has held the position as reader at scholarium in Vienna, and he also speaks at Wiener Börse Akademie (i.e. the Vienna Stock Exchange Academy). In 2014, he co-authored the international bestseller “Austrian School for Investors”, and in 2019 “Die Nullzinsfalle” (The Zero Interest Rate Trap). He is a member of the board of directors at Tudor Gold Corp. (TUD), a significant explorer in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle as well as a member of the advisory board of Affinity Metals (AFF). Moreover, he joined as an advisor to Matterhorn Asset Management, a global leader in wealth preservation in the form of physical gold stored outside the banking system.
Ronnie is married and proud father of three daughters. He spends his spare time with his family, watching and playing football, running, and at classical concerts.
Ralph Aldis
Portfolio Manager, U.S. Global Investors
Ralph Aldis rejoined U.S. Global Investors as senior mining analyst in November 2001. He is responsible for analyzing gold and precious metals stocks in his role as portfolio manager. In 2011, 2015, 2018 and again in 2021, Mr. Aldis was named a U.S. Metals and Mining “TopGun” by Brendan Wood International. In 2016 he and CEO Frank Holmes were named Best Americas Based Fund Manager by the Mining Journal.
Previously, Mr. Aldis worked for Eisner Securities, where he was an investment analyst for its high net worth group and oversaw its mutual fund operations. Before joining Eisner Securities, Mr. Aldis worked for 10 years as director of research for U.S. Global Investors, where he applied quantitative skills towards stocks, portfolio tilting, cash optimization and performance attribution analysis.
Mr. Aldis received a master’s degree in energy and mineral resources from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 and a Bachelor of Science in geology, from Stephen F. Austin University in 1981, graduating cum laude. Mr. Aldis is a member of the CFA Society of San Antonio.
Lila Manassa Murphy

Since May 2021, Ms. Lila Manassa Murphy has served as EVP and Chief Financial Officer of Dundee Corporation, a public Canadian independent holding company, listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, focused on holding and managing investments in the energy, natural resources, agriculture and real estate industries. She currently sits on the boards of Gold Resource Corporation (NYSE: GORO) and Green Brick Partners (NYSE: GRBK). Ms. Manassa Murphy previously served on the board and audit committee of Dundee Corporation, from August 2018 to March 2021. Ms. Manassa Murphy founded Intrinsic Value Partners, LLC in 2018, a provider of consulting services to asset management firms and family offices. Previously, she was Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Federated Hermes, Inc., a Fortune 500, ESG focused investment firm. Prior, Ms. Manassa Murphy worked as an Analyst at David W. Tice & Associates Inc. with a dedicated focus on natural resources investing. She has more than 25 years of diverse investment management experience. She sits on the board and finance committee of Sustainable Development Strategies Group, a US-based independent non-profit research institute advancing best practices for sustainable management of natural resources. She is a member of the Latino Corporate Directors Association.
Robert Cohen
VP and Portfolio Manager, Scotia Global Asset Management
Robert Cohen, Vice President & Portfolio Manager, Dynamic Funds, joined Dynamic Funds in 1998 as a member of the global equities team. His nearly 20 years combined experience in the mining industry includes work as an engineer, assistant to the V.P of South American Projects for a junior mining company and corporate development advisor for an international gold mining firm. Named a TopGun portfolio manager by Brendan Wood International each year from 2009 to 2013, Robert has been lead portfolio manager for Dynamic Precious Metals Fund since November 2000 and Dynamic Strategic Gold Class since inception. Robert is also the co-manager of the Dynamic Strategic Resource and the Scotia Resource Fund. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia, 1992 and 1998 respectively and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
Jamie Strauss

Kirsten Wolf
Chief Risk Officer, Orion Resource Partners
Kirsten Wolf is the Chief Risk Officer of Orion Resource Partners and also chairs their ESG committee. Prior to Orion, Ms. Wolf was Chief Risk Officer for the Red Kite Group’s Mine Finance business. Before joining Red Kite in 2006, Ms. Wolf was a Director in CIBC World Markets’ Market and Credit Risk department managing commodity risk. In that role she oversaw production of risk management metrics such as Value at Risk and stress/scenario testing and also measured and approved credit risk for customer business. She also coordinated expansion of the bank’s commodity market and credit risk management systems. Previously Ms. Wolf was a Risk Manager for RWE Trading GmbH providing market risk management, risk reporting and trading P&L for their pan-European natural gas trading business. Prior to that Ms. Wolf was an analyst at Enron Energy Services; and a Sales Representative at Exxon Chemical Ltd. Ms. Wolf received a BEng in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering from University of Bath.
Patrick Drouin
Senior Vice President, Investor Relations & Sustainability , Wheaton Precious Metals Corp.
Mr. Drouin joined the Company in 2012, bringing with him 12 years of experience in the financial industry. He worked for UBS Securities from 2001 to 2012 in institutional equity sales across North America and in Europe, most recently in London as Head of European Sales for UBS Canada. In this role, Mr. Drouin built a sales platform responsible for advising fund managers on Canadian equities. He was also a member of the UBS Canadian Executive Committee, which oversaw strategic decisions for the Canadian business. Prior to this, Mr. Drouin worked in both Toronto and San Francisco for UBS Canada, advising the largest US institutional investors on Canadian equities. Throughout his advisory career, he has focused on the resource sector. Prior to UBS, he served as a Project Geologist in the San Francisco Bay Area for William Lettis & Associates. Mr. Drouin has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and a Masters in Geology from the University of Memphis.
David Awram

(now Wheaton Precious Metals Corp.) where his role included corporate development and investor relations during Silver Wheaton’s dramatic growth into a multi-billion dollar company.

Alex Pernin

Alex Pernin is the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Star Royalties. He was previously responsible for managing capital allocation and corporate development at Barrick Gold where he oversaw all major internal, joint-venture and M&A opportunities. He was involved in the US$6 billion Randgold Resources acquisition, the largest gold sector acquisition in a decade, as well as the US$5 billion Barrick Gold – Newmont Mining Nevada Joint Venture. Prior to Barrick Gold, Mr. Pernin was in equity research at Canaccord Genuity where he covered junior and mid-capitalization precious metals producers as well as royalty and streaming companies. Before that, he was at Freeport-McMoRan and Northern Superior Resources in mining operations and greenfields exploration roles, respectively. Mr. Pernin is a Registered Professional Geologist in the province of Ontario and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Geology (gold medallist) and a Master of Science degree in Economic Geology, both from the University of Toronto.

More recently she established a company to focus on investments and advisory services in the mining sector – Cupel Advisory Corp. Octavio “Tavi” Costa

Otavio “Tavi” Costa is a partner and portfolio manager at Crescat Capital and has been with the firm since 2013. He built Crescat’s macro model that identifies the current stage of the US economic cycle through a combination of 16 factors. His research has been featured in financial publications such as Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, CCN, Financial Post, The Globe and Mail, Real Vision, Reuters. Tavi is a native of São Paulo, Brazil and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. Before joining Crescat, he worked with the underwriting of financial products and in international business at Braservice, a large logistics company in Brazil. Tavi graduated cum laude from Lindenwood University in St. Louis with a B.A. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and a minor in Spanish. Prior to his role with Karora, Oliver was a Senior Vice President of Precious Metals Equity Research at GMP Securities (now Stifel) covering the junior and mid-tier precious metals sector. He previously worked as a Mining Engineer for Wardrop Engineering (now Tetratech). Oliver is a CFA charterholder and is a graduate of the Senior Executive Programme at London Business School and Mining Engineering at Queen’s University in Canada.
James Holman

Jamie Holman joined Merk Investments in April of 2022. He serves as Vice President of Merk Investments, is a portfolio manager of the ASA fund, and is a partner of Merk Capital Partners. Before joining Merk Investments, Jamie spent a decade at Invesco and Oppenheimerfunds as an analyst on the Invesco Gold & Special Minerals Fund.
